Máté Tóth: Digitization and creative reuse of cultural content
Digitization is concerned with all kinds of cultural heritage, that is worth saving for next generations. It is not only about books, but also films, audio, paintings and so much more. The main aim of this lecture was to point out the realities of digitization. Mr. Tóth had also spoken about EU policies and strategies for sustainable digitization models and the famous Europeana project.
Digitization at this point, is not self sufficient and it is reliant on sponsors and government funding, which is a big problem.
Mr Tóth did not forget to show his love for Brno and KISK. He made some comparisons of Brno with Pecs and its' University. He also recommended it as a great Erasmus destination for students. But it may have been just a part of his work contract to mention it in his every speech. Who knows?
